You know you’ve watched a great film when the credits roll and you’re surprised to find yourself back in your living room.

The best films take us to places we’d never otherwise have gone, introduce us to people we’d never otherwise have met and spark conversations we’d never otherwise have had.

Watch a film inspired by an experience of crossing borders this Refugee Week. A long film, a short film, a sad film, even a funny film. Get together with others and plan a screening at a local cinema, park, community centre, school or workplace. Or watch it at home and tell your friends about it.

Moving Worlds by Counterpoints Arts and Highlight Arts is a special range of features and shorts available to screen at reduced rates for Refugee Week. The films come with resources and post-screening questions to help you get the conversation started. You can also visit the Refugee Week website for more film resources, including a Refugee Week selection on BFI Player (for watching at home).

And when the credits are over, spread the word about what you watched and what you thought. Tell a friend, write a review or share on social media using the hashtag #SimpleActs (you can also email us). Let us know where you travelled to.

There are 20 Simple Acts to celebrate 20 years of Refugee Week. For more information and the full list, visit the Simple Acts page.
