Foodhall is a place for humans to be equal. It is a place for everyone to share food, drink, company, skills and time together, all on a contribute-what- you-can basis.
Foodhall feeds as many as 70 people a day. It holds regular events and workshops, from communal meals to carpentry lessons, DJ sets and live bands to academic lectures and debates.
As well as our usual contribute-what- you-can cafe, 10-3 Thursday and Friday, we’ll be hosting some workshops and music throughout Migration Matters.
During the cafe there will be opportunities to practice your english, learn to make professional standard barista coffee, practice your drawing skills, and get to know the Foodhall community.
On Wednesday 20th June you can expect a selection of artistic, creative, and green fingered activities from our Journal, Garden, and Wellbeing branches.
The Open Journal is a quarterly print publication written by everyone and anyone. Everyone can submit something to the journal, it accepts anything that can be printed on paper.
The garden is a continuing, open community project that can allow everyone to access the therapeutic work of gardening.
Wellbeing workshops at Foodhall are regular opportunities to relax and express yourself through therapeutic and creative activities, such as pottery, massage, nail painting, and circus skills.
