Enjoy a two-course dinner with special guests Christina Lamb and Emma Jane Kirby, authors of "The Girl from Aleppo" and "The Optician of Lampedusa", and hear about how the journeys of the poeple they met through their journalistic work inspired them to write the books that have been credited with placing "the human face on the refugee crisis."
The ticket price includes a delicious two-course celebratory dinner featuring a number of sharing dishes from Syria's legendary cuisine, suitable for all dietary requirements and a copy of either Christina's or Emma Jane's book.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Refugee Council who is working with refugees in North Yorkshire as part of the United Nations Resettlement Programme.
