Eat, Dance and Celebrate as we end the Refugee Week programme with a rhythmic, spirited night of performances and spinning decks.
Following a 7.30pm performance by Arab Puppet Theatre Foundation - get involved in this incredibly exciting festival finale:
20:30 - Open Kitchen Social Club - Returning for a third and final time, Open Kitchen will fill the bellies of partygoers before a raucous and soulful night of entertainment!
21:30 - Meh'fil (The Gathering) by Nisha Lall Dance - Generation after generation, people have gathered to exchange words, thoughts, dance, music and expression. For some the gathering never changes, for some the gathering differs as they journey from one place to another and for some the gathering will become something they never return back to. Intertwining tales are told through Indian Dance as well as influential dance styles from around the world.
22:30 - UJahm - A Reggae/Ska band looking to regenerate British reggae and appeal to today's modern urban culture. Influences range from Jamaican and British ska and roots reggae, to dub, soul, hip hop and even some drum and bass.
23:30 - Mankala - Formed by a multi-national collective of musicians with a common love for African roots music, Mankala’s sound is greatly influenced by a variety of styles, from the joyous sounds of Soukous, Township & Sungura music to the hypnotic grooves of Afro-Beat and the Desert Blues, forging an ‘original high energy African fusion’ with a distinctive style and a positive message.
00:30 - Kom Kom - Sheffield's queen of Soca brings the carnival! Bass and melodies abound...
