Profound Connections Entertainment presents The Will To Life

Main hall, 7:30pm

Profound Connections Entertainment is a film & media Production Company based in The North East of England. Managing Director, Abdulrahman Abu-Zayd has been working with a company of asylum seekers and refugees from Sudan to create a new piece of theatre based on the poem, The Will To Life by celebrated Tunisian poet, Abu al-Qasem al-Shabbi.

The play is performed in Arabic and will be accompanied by an interpretation leaflet in English.

The Crossings Band

Main hall, 8:30pm-10:30pm

A special headline concert by The Crossings Band showcasing its range of songwriting, arrangements and soloists with a set of 20 songs, one for each year of Refugee Week celebrations to mark the 20th anniversary. The Crossings Band will be joined by guest musicians from a reggae and hip-hop collective, Collective Identity as the performance segues from live band backing to DJs.
