Two-day workshop

WORKSHOP

The workshop involves using clay to explore aspects of the participants’ experience of migration to Nottingham. The two days will involve sharing stories, handling clay and recording thoughts, memories and experiences. There will be opportunity for creative writing and to have your work photographed and your stories audio recorded.

The workshop will be facilitated in English. Participants will need to have a basic understanding of English. However other languages are very welcome.

Facilitators:
Andrew Brown is an artist who works with sound in space. He teaches at Nottingham Trent University. Christine Stevens is an artist who works in clay. She is also a psychotherapist. Together they are part of the Returns Project that started in 2012 at the Spode site in Stoke. This project is funded by Arts Council England.

This is part of a project working towards exhibitions in Nottingham and Stoke-on-Trent.
