A parade and performance celebrating the 10th anniversary of arts charity 6 Million Plus

Refugees, friends and community groups from 12 different countries have created a parade and performance inspired by the life and work of prolific Ukraininan folk artist Maria Prymachenko who painted colourful flowers, birds and beasts.  Maria’s painting of a dove of peace has become a symbol of hope for Ukraine around the world.

Our parade and performance will feature spectacular giant puppets, masks, banners, music and dance.

Join us for a parade in Dewsbury Town Centre on Saturday 22nd June 2024 at 1.30pm from Dewsbury Town Hall apron.

There will be 2 indoor performance telling the story of Maria Prymachenko at 3pm and 4pm in the Town Hall Reception Room
