Refugee Week Events- Exeter

We are delighted to let you know that we finally have a programme of events for the approaching Refugee Week 2024.

We are especially curating the two film screenings that will happen at the Exeter Phoenix, preceded by some informal talk, entertainment and light refreshments in the Secret Garden of Studio 74. These screenings are supported by the #NationalLottery and the BFI.

On Tuesday 18th June the pre-show event will start at 6.45pm and the film screening will start at 7.30pm, with the beautiful documentary from Ai Weiwei, Human Flow, released in 2017 but still relevant to the current circumstances of asylum seekers and refugees.

On Friday 21st June the pre-show event will start at 7.15pm in the same location as above and the film screening will start at 8pm. This time we will watch the newly released drama Green Border, a compelling tale of two women that meet along the Poland/ Belarus border, from acclaimed director Agnieszka Holland (2023).

Please, pre-book your tickets if you can, as there are limited numbers of seats in Studio 74.

The Phoenix is offering a special price to all our friends. You can retrieve that by booking online and use the code: RSD74. You will have to enter this code once prompt. Select the number of tickets on the ‘Booking’ page and click Continue. A page will open that will ask you to input the code. After doing that, your discounted price will appear and you will be able to purchase the ticket at £7 instead of £9.
