Compassionate Cyanotype Printmaking : A Journey Though Nature-Based Integration

Compassionate Cyanotype Printmaking : A Journey Though Nature-Based Integration

Join us for a unique, exploratory art workshop taking place during Refugee Week, hosted at Living Under One Sun. This session is organised by Azadeh Fatehrad and Davide Natalini as part of a pioneering project, the Nature-Based Integration initiative, generously funded by the British Academy and the Nuffield Foundation.

Our art workshop is deeply rooted in fostering a sense of compassion, with a specific focus on understanding our relationship with nature and how it transcends human boundaries. The workshop will engage participants in an immersive learning experience, teaching the ancient art of cyanotype printmaking. Using natural and cultural artefacts from our surroundings, we aim to deepen our understanding of nature-based integration, creating tangible representations of everyday experiences.

The workshop is designed to offer a platform for refugees, migrants and local residence to express their creativity, share their experiences, and contribute to the formation of an inclusive and collaborative environment. We firmly believe in the power of art to heal, unify, and create dialogue. This workshop will not only provide you with new artistic skills but also a platform to explore and express your relationship with the more-than-human world.

Given the intimate nature of the workshop, registration is essential as spaces are limited. To book your place, please email nature-based-integration@kingston.ac.uk.

We invite you to join us in this transformative journey, where art and nature intersect to foster understanding, compassion, and integration.
