Migrate Connects Panel 22 June 2023

Migrate Connects presents a panel discussion to explore how creativity can be used to address the biggest humanitarian crises of our time. Migrate Art founder Simon Butler will be joined by Janie Mac, the founder of Refugee Community Kitchen, Mathilda della Torre, author of new book Conversations from Calais, and Joel Mordi, founder of Mordi Ibe Foundation and a Refugee Week ambassador. All four panelists are social entrepreneurs that have turned their creative ideas into action and built organisations to create positive social impact. The discussion will take us on a journey that starts in Calais, France, and we will hear about how experiences in the area’s refugee camps inspired the panelists to take action and try to help. It will offer real world examples of how we can empower ourselves to be the positive change we want to see in the world, and cover some of the remarkable work that the panelists have created.
Tickets are now sold out but please follow @migrateart on Instagram and stay tuned to our stories for coverage of the event!
Migrate Art collaborates with the greatest artists of our time to raise funds for displaced and homeless communities across the world. To date they have raised over £1.5 million and collaborated with the likes of Anish Kapoor, Mona Hatoum, Antony Gormley, Sean Scully and many more. This event celebrates the release of their new print with Rachel Whiteread, raising funds for Refugee Community Kitchen. The event will offer one of the first opportunities to see the print in person.
