LDB Forum: Designing for people who are forced to flee
On this years’ World Refugee Day, this interactive panel discussion will explore questions of how we can design effective and evidence-based responses to forced displacement, which centre the perspectives of people with lived experience of displacement.
The panel will present two prototype public engagement models co-designed by the Gapminder Foundation and Oxford University’s Refugee Studies Centre.
The panel will reflect on the ignorance and misinformation that exists among European publics about forced displacement around the world, offer a new approach to communicating data on the refugee experience to the general public, and invite critical reflection from global thought-leaders with lived experience of displacement.
