Here we ask Manjit a few questions, read on to see her answers.

- Tell us a little bit about yourself and your creative background. What inspires your work?
“I am a freelance illustrator and have worked on a variety of projects, ranging from books to t-shirts. I enjoy combining digital and traditional med
ia in my work and layering textures and patterns. My work is inspired by nature, colour, feelings, and everyday life.”
g - We love the Our Home poster and Simple Acts GIFS you have created for this year’s Refugee Week festival- what was your process and inspiration?
“I loved the theme, ‘Our Home’, and it provided a lot of inspiration for the poster. I liked exploring the idea of ‘home’ in multiple ways, highlighting how interconnected we are all, from a personal level to the community aspect and then on the global level of caring for Earth. My process was a mix of digital and traditional media, combining textures to create depth and layers in the illustration. The Simple Acts GIFS were a lot of fun to work on! I drew them digitally and animated them using Photoshop.”
g - What other projects are you working on at the moment? Where and how can people find your work?
“In between projects, I love being able to focus on my personal work. I’m very inspired by spring at the moment, so I’ve been incorporating lots of flowers into my illustrations! My work can be found at www.manjitthapp.co.uk and also on instagram @manjitthapp”
g - Finally, what does Our Home mean to you?
For me it means a place where I can unwind and be most at peace, and is why I love drawing at home.
