Refugee Week 2023 Information Session and Q&A

Are you organising an event for Refugee Week, or just thinking about it but unsure how to get started? Meet the Refugee Week Producers for an opportunity to explore the Refugee Week 2023 resources and materials e.g. Event Organisers pack, Children & Young people’s pack, Social Media Toolkit and the 2023 Simple Acts. There will be short demos on how to submit your own event to the programme and calendar, and there will also be an opportunity for a Q+A.

Refugee Week is the world’s largest arts & culture festival celebrating the contributions, creativity and resilience of refugees and people seeking sanctuary. Refugee Week is an umbrella festival that encourages everyone to take part. Last year, an estimated 1.6 million people engaged with Refugee Week, with over 1000 events happening all across UK (including Scotland, and Wales ) and 5 new international festivals (Taiwan, Hong Kong, Greece, Malta, Berlin).

Through a programme of arts, cultural, sports and educational events alongside media and creative campaigns, Refugee Week enables people from different backgrounds to connect beyond labels, as well as encouraging understanding of why people are displaced, and the challenges they face when seeking safety.
