We have been working with the wonderful Sally Hilton, a trans activist and artist from Guatemala to produce her show inspired by her life story and old Guatemalan folktales.  The first commissioned piece of La Nagualita was performed as part of Sheba Festival 2021. 

‘In an isolated village nestled in the volcanic valleys of Guatemala, an ancient power calls out from the forest. Rumours  of a monster stalk the land. A power once revered has become one that is feared. La Nagualita is a story of self-discovery, self-acceptance and perseverance from Sally Hilton (Ixcanul Arts), directed by Maddie Walking, and developed in collaboration with performers and co-creators Miss Fuego, Sacapuntas Marchito, Susa Kasula and Yeguachita.
