Free workshop writing about the power and meaning of Compassion, with Wandsworth Welcomes Refugees.

Come a bit early to enjoy the community exhibition curated by Wandsworth Welcomes Refugees at Sprout Arts. After the gallery closes at 5:00, we’ll hold an hour’s free workshop creating poems based on any of the exhibition themes you want to explore.

There’s no need to be a poet already!

We’ll facilitate a participative and creative method which helps us to develop some common themes and share some vocabulary together. Then we’ll write our own poems. We can exchange comments about what we write, and we’ll have time to write again.

That may sound like a tall order in an hour: we promise you this works well and that participants are supported by the collective process and surprised at their results!
All welcome from 11 years old to adult to enjoy and experiment with creative writing together.
