Exhibition: So Far
So Far is a collaborative art project featuring contributions by members of the local refugee community in Folkestone. Devised by Toby Melville-Brown, whose practice spans fine art, traditional illustration and animation, the project centres on a walking figure made up of 24 images. Each image was designed by someone living as a refugee in Folkestone or working locally with this community. Using a specially-commissioned ‘flipbook machine’ crafted by Beth Walker, the images combine to make an innovative live animation, provoking reflections on individuality, community and the shared humanity of walking together through life.
A limited-edition of 100 hand-pulled screen printed posters designed by Toby Melville-Brown will be available for sale, raising funds for Art Refuge
