To mark World Refugee Day on Tuesday, 20 June, the School of Applied Language and Intercultural Studies (SALIS), in conjunction with the Irish Refugee Integration Network (IRIN), are delighted to launch the short film Ordinary Treasures: Objects from home.

The film asks six International Protection Applicants and Refugees who have been attending the IRIN English language classes:  “If you had to leave your home for your own safety, what would you bring with you?” and bears witness to what they packed with them when fleeing their homeland.
