We are hosting a community cultural event on Saturday 24th June celebrating African-Caribbean to be hosted in the heart of Finsbury Park Ward in the borough of Islington on the Andover Estate the largest public housing estate where the majority of African Refugees & a few Caribbeans were placed & settled. Support us celebrate the African & Caribbean traditions and culture with music and dance but also highlighting our achievements that contribute to the social economics of the borough. We will deliver a set of positive programmes throughout the day on the estate square and partner with the local foodcycle to offer free halal food to celebrate our culture that will support positive community engagement with the youths and families. The celebration will be preceded by cookery sessions for the wider community to learn about African & Caribbean recipes and African-inspired creative art workshops that will involve the local community, local youth groups, and local artists to prepare for the Go Africa festival.
