Intro To Acro: Refugee Week Workshop
With Julie-Yara & Kwame
Saturday 22nd June 2024
12pm – 2pm

A donation-based, beginner-friendly acro workshop for anyone interested in learning acro or just curious about the practice and who would like to try!

Join Julie-Yara and Kwame for a flow based class with all proceeds going to the Free Gaza Circus.

No prior experience with acro is needed – the workshop is beginner friendly!
As this is an open-level workshop, the skills taught will be adjusted to your current ability level. Alongside learning skills and drills, we will also cover consent, boundaries and safety in acro.

Growing the London Acro community is something we’re passionate about. By offering this donation-based introduction, we’re hoping to make acro in London more accessible by lowering barriers to entry. We are also taking Refugee Week as an opportunity to encourage those who , like us, come from a migration background to give acro a try. In particular, we’re hoping to encourage those who may not have previously felt included, represented or had the opportunity to even participate in acro to join for this class.
