Lullaby Circle with Xenia Horne: Soothing songs from around the world for babies and parents
Lullaby Circle offers new parents and parents with babies up to 18 months, a chance to come together, learn lullabies and traditional songs from different cultures.
Xenia Horne, harpist and early years artist has collected music and tunes from her travels around the world and also encourages the sharing of songs the families might like to bring to the group. It’s a wonderful way for us to mark both Make Music Day AND Refugee Week in style!
The activity takes place on rugs and blankets with cushions for comfort, sharing the music in a supportive and encouraging environment, with a focus on relaxation and breathing. (You are of course welcome to sit on a chair if you’d be more comfortable). Our focus will be on creating a relaxing and welcoming environment for young families in a beautifully soothing afternoon.
Tickets are free as part of Make Music Day! However, booking is essential as places are limited. For more information and to secure your place, visit Lullaby Circle with Xenia Horne at Dereham Library event tickets from TicketSource
This event is programmed through Dereham Library, and is brought to you by the partnership of Creative Arts East and Norfolk Library Service as part of the national Rekindle project, funded by Arts Council England. Rekindle aims to transform libraries into hubs of artistic exploration and cultural immersion, fostering a new appreciation for these community cornerstones.
