Migrant and Refugee Forum

Migrant and Refugee Forum

Calling all Liverpudlians, migrants and politics enthusiasts! POMOC invites you to a free event with local politicians in Liverpool ahead of this year’s local elections.

This is a space where migrants, refugees and asylum seekers can directly engage with politicians and people who work within Liverpool City Council.

During the event, you can:

  • Ask questions about issues that matter to you (e.g. housing, mental health, LGBTQ+ services or immigration)
  • Learn about upcoming elections and how you can register to vote in the future
  • Understand how local government works and what support it can offer you

Speakers: to be announced

Facilitators: Masha Goubernik and Marzena Zukowska

Local organisations and community groups will have tables with informational materials.

Refreshments will be provided.

This event is part of SheVotes – a campaign of POMOC to organise Polish and Eastern European women together as a powerful force in UK elections.
