Rainbows Across Borders with Music Action International
Listen to the vocal talents of Rainbows Across Borders Choir, as part of Our Home – a day of creativity, discussion and performance.
Rainbows Across Borders choir is a music group for members of Rainbows Across Borders, a voluntary self-help group for LGBTQ+ asylum seekers who are fleeing harm and persecution. They have performed at London Pride events and perform regularly at Croydon Unitarian Church, which provides support to the group.
Since 2020 Rainbows Across Borders choir has partnered with Music Action International, a charity that creates award-winning creative music programmes with asylum seekers and refugees across the UK and beyond; together they have done several song-writing projects on positive themes such as unity and self-belief. In 2023 Rainbows Across Borders choir performed at the Southbank Centre for Refugee Week and they are looking forward to sharing their uplifting songs with new audiences in 2024.
Our Home is a Royal Museums Greenwich and Creating Ground CIC collaboration. See the full programme for the day and book your tickets here: Our Home: Refugee Week 2024 | Royal Museums Greenwich (rmg.co.uk)
