This event is for refugees, local residents who are interested in finding out more about the refugee experience and volunteering opportunities, professionals and practitioners.
Bringing together different agencies, the event will feature:
- Advice from Greater Manchester Police about how to report hate crime
- Arts and crafts activities
- Health advice and support, including blood pressure checks
- Help with housing issues
- Information about the English as a second language (ESOL) advice service
- Information for local residents about volunteer opportunities to support the refugee community
- Information about free football for people over the age of 16 from Hope Football at Rochdale AFC
- Support on how to get into jobs and training
