Refugee Week: Keeping ‘Our Home’ Safe

Refugee Week: Keeping ‘Our Home’ Safe

Home is more than just a physical place for most people, home can be a community, home can be a person, home can be a feeling. Please join us at Brixton Windmill on 25/06/2024 for a workshop to explore the concept of home. What does home mean to you? Is your idea of home a safe one? How can we make the idea of home a safe place?

We’ll be running a series of interactive activities all with the hope of hearing from you! We have been provided funding from the Mayor of Police and Commissioning to really explore issues and barriers that individuals may be facing regarding receive support, feeling safe and accepted in their boroughs and neighbourhoods. We hope from these conversations we can really improve how statutory services interact and engage with all communities. We welcome open and frank conversations on how we can improve, support and create feelings of safety and peace.

There will be free food and drink so please bring along anyone who may be interested!

We look forward to welcoming you soon!
