REFUGEE WEEK PETERBOROUGH: A NIGHT OF MONOLOGUES, MUSIC & POETRY

THU 20 JUN

62 Gladstone Street hosts White Kite Collective for a night of monologues, music and poetry.

This is a fundraising event. All proceeds go to H.E.L.P, the Ghassan Abu Sittah Children’s Fund, and White Kite Collective.

Join us in Peterborough for an evening of monologues, music, and poetry as we celebrate Refugee Week 2024. This year’s theme, “Our Home,” invites us to reflect on the meaning of home — from the places we share meals to our collective home, planet earth.
This event is a tribute to all those who have been displaced, highlighting the strength and resilience of refugee communities from around the world. In particular, we stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people, who are enduring severe hardships and violence. We remember and honour all innocent lives lost and futures stolen over the past 76 years.
Featuring: monologues from the White Kite Collective, poetry from Lisa Luxx, Zia Ahmed, Malika Speaks, Charley Genever, Lukhmann, and Nazya Sama, and music from Kareem Samara and Etaf.

We want to ensure this event is accessible and inclusive. If you would like to attend but are not in a position to buy a ticket, please don’t hesitate to email us: standwithpals@gmail.com
