A free and interactive family-friendly exhibition in line with National Refugee Week’s 2023 theme of compassion.

Sunflowers are the national flower of Ukraine and the subject of artworks in this exhibition. Artworks on display created by refugee children and their newfound classmates to emphasise global connection and inspirational hope. Their stories and voices are also represented in literature and poetry.

The exhibition will span two weekends, free to view all week – with free art making events each Saturday. Families and passers-by are invited to create their own sunflower collage work to take home or add to the ‘growing’ exhibition. Free materials and assistance each Saturday.
