Refuge Island, an exhilarating dance performance exploring stories of female migration and the human capacity to offer a place of refuge. As a lone woman appears on a refuge island images flicker within the bollard, the audience hears stories from Ireland, Bosnia and Afghanistan. An emotive performance not to be missed.
Whispered Tales was formed in 2019 and are based In Liverpool with two artistic directors Esther Simpson and Steve Gibbs. The company deliver projects that shine a light on forgotten sites and people. They are known for their combination of visual flair and emotive cinematic sound design. They create a range of artworks from large scale installations, audio trails, light night illuminations and bespoke performances.
