Community Arts Northwest (CAN) presents Horizons Festival: a programme of events in partnership with HOME Manchester as part of Refugee Week 2019.
A packed week of events celebrating international arts and global cultures, Horizons Festival will showcase the best in contemporary creativity, raise awareness, challenge stereotypes and bring the communities of our city together.
The Launch day on Saturday 15 June features a community marketplace, performances, films, exhibitions and workshops including storytelling, theatre, dance, circus skills, music; most of which is FREE and family-friendly.
The festival profiles CAN’s current artists in residence Seyed Ali Jaberi and The Hamdel Ensemble, and associates MIRO and Amani Creatives. You can also catch Seyed Ali Jaberi and The Hamdel Ensemble on their national tour at Migration Matters Festival in Sheffield, St George’s Bristol, St Giles’ Cathedral as part of Edinburgh Fringe Festival, SAGE Gateshead and Symphony Hall in Birmingham.
Horizons Festival runs from Saturday 15th – Friday 21st June, is held at HOME, and combines free and ticketed events. Each day of Horizons Festival has a theme and everyone is welcome. Come and join us!
