Kindertransport to the Hostile Environment: Britain's Immigration System Then and Now

Parliamentary Meeting to mark Refugee Week 2019

House of Commons, Committee Room 6

Monday 17 June 2019, 3-5pm

At this roundtable meeting we will hear from MPs on the cutting edge of immigration policy. We will hear from a Rabbi versed in Jewish teaching and experience. But, most importantly, we will hear from two individuals who came to Britain as children and have been treated very differently by the UK’s immigration system, then and now. That knowledge, that teaching, those experiences all point to one conclusion – it is #Time4aTimeLimit on immigration detention.
