Life in refugee camps with Ghaith Jalabneh

ARU alumnus Ghaith Aljalabneh shares his experience of working with UNICEF since 2012,to support Syrian refugees within Jordan’s refugee camps.

Speaking about UNICEF’s interventions and programmes within the Zaatari refugee camp, Ghaith focuses on the education programmes and Makani centres providing vulnerable children with access to learning support services and community-based child protection within the camp. He discusses the shift from emergency services to the development and sustainability of services and programmes in the camps; he explores the current challenges services face, as well as sharing success stories about some refugees from the camps.
