As part of our heritage project, and to mark the beginning of Refugee Week 2016, Manchester Refugee Support Network (MRSN) is organising Manchester's Refugee Cultural Festival.

The event will feature:
• The wonderful voice of Neda Nadeer - a young Eritrean woman who performs contemporary music
• The fantastic Manchester City of Sanctuary children’s choir – a partnership with PopUK
• Chaos - a Chorlton High School drama based on an adaptation of 'Refugee Boy' by reknowned poet Lemn Sissay
• A performance of the acclaimed play 'Still We Rise' by WAST (Women Asylum Seekers Together) telling their stories in drama and song
• A special heritage workshop to help to build MRSN's new 20 year archive and digital time-line
