Refuege Archives Open Day at the University of East London Archives.

On Saturday 22nd June 2019, in conjunction with both Refugee Week 2019 and the University of East London Open Day, the UEL Archives & Special Collections be hosting an open day between 11:00am and 4pm offering a glimpse into the many different archives that we hold.

Our existing Collections include: extensive materials on refugee and migration studies including the Refugee Council Archive; the Voices of Kosovans in Manchester and Gujarati Yatra oral history collections; the British Olympic Association Archive; Hackney Empire Theatre archives; a growing collection of materials focusing on the history and heritage of East London and the University’s own institutional archive. This will be a unique opportunity to view a display of material from across these diverse collections.

There will also be exhibitions on display in the Archive drawn from our Voices of Kosovans in Manchester and Gujarati Yatra oral history collections.

This will be a drop-in event open to everyone, no booking required.

The archives can be found on the Ground floor of the UEL Docklands Campus Library, 4-6 University Way, London, E16 2RD.  It would be great to see you!
