Refugee Week Summer Festival


The Afghan and Central Asian Association's Summer Festival will showcase the diverse cultures of refugees, highlighting their unique contribution to the local community through a cultural celebration. This is an exciting opportunity for you to celebrate our diverse community right here in Hounslow and learn more about Afghan and Central  and South Asian culture through food, song and dance. Come along and join in the fun! A huge variety of performers including South Asian dancers and Afghan singers will entertain the whole family, whilst local restaurants and entrepreneurs will tantalise your tastebuds showcasing food from places such as Uzbekistan, India and Afghanistan. Lounge in the June summer sun, whilst enjoying plenty of attractions including face painting, martial art displays and a traditional clothing fashion show. Come along and celebrate the spirit of togetherness! There will also be opportunities to promote your company at the event, please get in touch with ACAA ( for more details. Funds generated from the event will be utilised by the ACAA to help recently arrived migrants and refugees integrate into the local community, by providing free accredited ESOL English classes, extracurricular activities for primary school aged children and also through providing free and confidential legal support to vulnerable people. The festival is family friendly and accessible to all.
