We are all children of God (1 John 3:1) no matter where we are from. We are all children of God no matter how we got here. We love one another as God loves us (John 13: 34-35).
This Refugee Week 2022 we want to tell different stories. Stories of welcome.
Join us to hear the stories of our churches and parishes across London welcoming refugees, migrants and asylum seekers.
The aims of the event are:
To share and celebrate the stories of how our London churches and parishes are welcoming asylum seekers, migrants and refugees from Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, Eritrea, Ukraine, Hong Kong and so many other countries.
To share a new infographic to help us understand current UK resettlement pathways, and how our churches and parishes are supporting asylum seekers, migrants and refugees within this system.
To be inspired by our speakers:
- The Right Revd Paul McAleenan (Diocese of Westminster and Lead Bishop for Migrants and Refugees)
- The Right Revd Joanne Grenfell (Bishop of Stepney, Diocese of London)
- The Bishop of Southwark, The Rt Revd Christopher Chessun
