There are so many ways to get involved in Refugee Week whether you have 5 minutes or 5 months to prepare!
One fantastic way to get involved is to organise your own event or activity. Everyone is invited whether you’re an individual, school, charity, arts organisation, local authority, library, business, refugee community organisations, faith group (and so many more!)
What you organise is completely up to you. Events can be large scale, city-wide festivals or a meet up over a cup of tea. In the past we’ve had everything from: community events such as dances to dinners and coffee mornings; sporting activities such as football tournaments and sports days; arts events such as concerts, exhibitions and festivals; events in schools or seminars and discussions around relevant issues. The possibilities are endless!
Once your event is ready, don’t forget to submit it to our events calendar by submitting your event here.
Below you’ll find our Event Organiser Pack and Social Media Toolkit where you can find resources and inspiration to help you get started as well as lots of tips & advice. Don’t forget to check our News & Blog and social media channels for inspiration too.
This fantastic resource will take you through what Refugee Week is, ways you can get involved, our values and ethos as well as helpful things to consider as you plan your event (from working in partnership to promoting your event!)
