Following the success of the first Refugee Week Leadership Project in 2019, we’re delighted to have been awarded funding from Ben and Jerry’s Foundation to run the programme for a second year.
We are now recruiting a new group to be part of the Refugee Week Leadership Project 2020, and this time, we’re inviting applications from emerging leaders aged 30 or under.
Coordinated by Counterpoints Arts, the Refugee Week Leadership Project 2020 aims to make sure the voices and expertise of people who have themselves experienced displacement are at the heart of Refugee Week.
The project will work with five emerging leaders from refugee backgrounds, giving them leading roles in the production of Refugee Week 2020, and offering tailored support for their own leadership journeys – including training from the Clore Leadership Programme.
If you:
*Have previous experience leading a project
*Are passionate about changing public attitudes to refugees and asylum seekers
*Want to develop your leadership skills in the field of arts, pop culture, campaigning, media or education
*Are from a refugee background
*Are aged 30 or under (on 29 November 2019)
*Can commit to at least 15 days between January and June 2020
*Are based (anywhere) in the UK
…then we’d love to hear from you.
