The Great Walk Together is Back!

We’re thrilled to be teaming up with the Jo Cox Foundation to invite you to take part in The Great Walk Together, in celebration of Refugee Week and the Great Get Together.

The idea is simple- get a group together and go on a walk together! You can register your walk with The Great Get Together and use this year’s tool kit!

Wherever you walk and whoever you walk with, you’ll be joining people up and down the country, coming together to create new connections and reflect on the journeys that refugees face. You can walk together whenever you wish – but we are particularly encouraging people to do their walks during the  Great Get Together weekend, (23rd- 25th June).

Last Refugee Week, it was amazing to see you come together to walk through parks, up mountains and through local history spots!

If you’re looking for more inspiration, our partners in Malta organised a beautiful Walk for Peace last year. On this year’s World Refugee Day 20th June, they will walk for peace again and invite you to do so too in your local community.

Whatever you do, share with us on social media using #SimpleActs, #WalkTogether #MoreinCommon #Refugeeweek

If your social media post includes images or names of other people, make sure you get permission first, including from parents/ guardians of anyone under 18.

Walk Together is one of ten Simple Acts you can do for Refugee Week 2023. To view them all, visit the Simple Acts page.
